Pros and Cons of VoIP For Small Business - Is it Right For You Or Not?

VoIP in a unlimited mobile broadband environment can work very well. A lot depends upon your existing network though. If you have an overly secure network with a lot of traffic then expect the quality streamyx dealer fall. Try subscribe cable keep your voice traffic on a different network to your data content management websites remember that VoIP/SIP is not as secure as traditional telecoms.

First some of the benefits .... VoIP systems often cost less tesco broadband recurring maintenance than traditional PBX equipment and are easier to configure when applying moves, adds, and changes. Incidentally, there is normally no configuration change required to move an extension in a VoIP network. Many VoIP systems also let you use the Internet for your outbound calling, which can reduce your long distance bill and displace the cost of a PRI or analog trunk circuits for access to the public telephone network. VoIP also enables roadrunner internet Messaging, which integrates email, voice mail, IM, and calendaring.

However there are some drawbacks ..... IP phones are more expensive than traditional analog phones and have more stringent requirements for the network to support them than standard email and web surfing. While VoIP systems do generally have a more intuitive interface than traditional PBX equipment, in a company of 20 kuala lumpur bangsar not likely to see much turnover I would expect.

Additional drawbacks are:

- Voice quality (not all your calls will be as clear as a traditional analog line).

- Reliability. If your Internet or System Network goes down you are left without computers and a phone system.

- Basic Features are sometimes billed a la cart and can end up costing you more per user then a traditional phone system.

- Hosted VoIP solutions require you to buy the phones (and associated routers) and then bill you every month for the service. Where as a phone system (with all its equipment) can be financed over 3 - 5yrs and then you own the equipment and system features & service.

The best approach for determining the viability of such a move would be to have a cost analysis performed for each option and look at the total costs and system benefits, up front, at year five, and beyond.

For a small company, these are conditions that generally would indicate a possible business case for VoIP:

- Your company has multiple sites and pays for Wide Area Network circuits to connect those sites together as well as PRI circuits or Centrex lines for PSTN access.

- You have a number of "remote workers" who work out of remote/home offices, and the company pays for their home phone and long distance as well as their Internet access.

- Your company spends a significant portion of its technology budget on long distance or international calling.

- Your company has high turnover and/or personnel are constantly changing offices.

- internet fax service of unified messaging and/or advanced calling functions such as on-the-fly conference calls would allow your company to conduct business much more effectively, so much so that it would positively impact your bottom line.

- Your company is getting ready to move to a ebay malaysia facility and would have to pay to run cable.

Outside of those, I would say VoIP may not be your best choice. One option worth considering is a gateway that streamyx self installation traditional analog phones, but converts the call to VoIP when calling external numbers.

Don't get me wrong I love working with VoIP, but if your current system isn't broken or costing you an arm and a leg to maintain it, you may not need to upgrade.

We need LEADERSHIP.

Our race relations are broken. Our politics is distasteful and flawed. Our economy and those who help to run it are lost and misguided. Many things are not right about the country. Alas, many of us who hold the same pathetic view of our country take very different approaches to addressing the problems. The majority may choose to internet jobs and many more choose to whine.

WiMAX

Introduction

What Streamyx WiMAX? Simply put WiMAX is, Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, a technology Streamyx that enables high speed wireless internet. In other words, WiMAX combines the high speed of a broadband connection with the convenience of mobile internet connectivity. WiMAX provides wireless broadband access up Streamyx a radius of 50 kilometers (30 miles) for fixed receivers and 5-15 kilometers Streamyx miles) for mobile receivers.

How does WiMAX work?

WiMAX needs setting up of a tower to establish microwave connections with the users. This operates in the same way as a cell phone tower. In the case of WiMAX, the tower is connected to internet through a high speed cable like a T3 line. The difference from broadband is that here the bandwidth does not have to be divided using wires.WiMAX is in a way an advanced version of WiFi, a similar technology. Whereas Streamyx allows a network within a radius of 30-100 meters Streamyx feet), WiMAX connectivity can be tm streamyx bill over a radius of up to 50 kilometers. This high speed data transfer over a much larger area is made possible by lessening interference using the IEEE 802.16 Air Interface Standard. Currently WiMAX operates on both licensed and non-licensed frequencies.

Advantage and Applications

As it is possible to use WiMAX over longer distances, this technology may come in handy in creating city wide networks. It is also better suited Streamyx WiFi for large area public places like airports, college and university campuses and large office set ups. It also provides for greater mobility to users. This way WiMAX may be a good option for people on the move using gadgets like laptops, iPods and PDAs. As WiMAX follows a point-to-multipoint architecture, it is an ideal solution for delivering broadband to places where it would not be viable to establish wired connections. Rural areas and high rises are examples for this situation. Currently this last mile part of the connectivity is the biggest stumbling block to broadband providers, in terms of cost and manpower requirements. WiMAX can bring down the costs and subsequently make internet connectivity cheaper to the streamyx ip user.Another advantage over some other wireless technologies is that WiMAX does not need a direct line of sight between the source and the receptor. It also has a comparatively high shared data rate at 70Mbps, which is good enough to reach about a thousand homes. WiMAX is also an excellent saver of time. As it does not need cables to connect with the receptors, it is possible to establish connection to an entire campus or even city in a matter of a few days.WiMAX also allows for greater convergence of diverse applications such as fixed and mobile telephony, apart from entertainment sectors like television.

Challenges

That said, WiMAX need not come to eliminate wired connectivity altogether. In areas where wired broadband is already established, DSL still reigns supreme. Thus it is more likely that WiMAX will develop as a complementary to wired connectivity. Secondly, the real potential of WiMAX is in the possibility of bringing diverse services such as telephony, mobile television and broadband internet under its umbrella. This requires that players from these different Streamyx work together to provide single point service to the end user. Consumer billing and mutual settlement systems have to be extremely efficient to handle these requirements.

Burmese cops to testify against Suu Kyi

Burmese police were expected to give evidence against pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi on the second day of her trial.

I moved to Johannesburg about 15 months ago. I came here to work and didn't know web design malaysia many people. Naturally, one of the first things that I wanted to discover was the bar and night life culture.

It's taken me about a good year to finally start to really discover and explore this crazy city. Here are some of the bars, clubs and restaurants that I've discovered as a new Joburg resident.

One of the first bars I visited was The Colony. Located in a bus shopping centre on Jan Smuts Road, this is a popular hang-out for youngsters. The famous drink is a John Deer - Cane and Cream Sode served in the 2-litre Cream Soda bottle. The staff are not always the quickest but the place is always busy and the atmosphere quite bubbly.

The Jolly Roger is another popular bar adsl connection speed the younger, student-type crowd. The bar is always packed, which can mean a long wait for drinks. mobile internet access loud and not overly 'clean' but you always seem to have a good time there. A good point is that it's situated near a bunch of bars, so bar-hopping is definitely a plus when visiting this bar.

A really pleasant surprise for me was visiting Schwabing, a German-themed bar in Randburg. Driving in through the gate, one internet antivirus never tmnet streamyx com the sprawling and multi-faceted bar and restaurant that awaits it's patrons. This could easily be Joburg's best kept secret. There are a couple of bars spread out over a massive outside and inside area. The cool thing about this place is that there are many different sections which can give you a different experience of the place each time you visit it. The food portions were very generous and the crowd was boisterous but well-behaved. Parking is very internet nanny Overall, it was a very cool experience.

Cescos is a Portuguese -style bar and restaurant that is great for watching sport, such as football and rugby. Their food offerings are great and the atmosphere is always good. It's a very large place, with a lovely bar upstairs. I highly recommend this place to someone looking for a bite to eat with their beer whilst they watch some football.

Ultimately, Johannesburg is one of those cities where people enjoy themselves and a night out. There are a couple of websites out there that showcase the nightlife but nothing comprehensive. Hopefully we can remedy that before the World Cup!
