XBOX 360's can be tricky streamyx helpline systems. Great for gaming phone and broadband packages course, but definitely a pain when it comes to technical problems...

There are several different forms of technical problems with the XBOX 360, the most common is the 3 flashing red lights sometimes called RRoD / Red Ring Of Death / Red Ring of Light amongst various other names. They can happen for a variety of different reasons such as over heating, loose cables etc.

All 4 sections are flashing red:
This means that the AV cable cannot be detected (e.g. it is isn't plugged in). Try to disconnect/ reconnect mediacom high speed internet AV cable, wipe the end of the cable with a cloth (not wet) and make sure nothing is stuck inside it.

3 sections are flashing red:
This is the infamous malaysia trip 3 flashing red light / Red Ring of Death or whatever term you want to use for it. You are covered by Microsoft for 3 years after date of purchase for this kind of error, but it does take 4 -6 weeks to ship and return your console. If you want a different solution, check the resource box.
Sections 1 and 3 are flashing red:

This is a result of an overheated XBOX 360. It can happen for a number of reasons such as, lack of ventilation, air reflowing etc. Try to put your console in a more ventilated area, keep it away from other heated objects.

Section 1 flashing:
This is usually accompanied by an on screen "E" error in the format, E-XX, XX being a 2 digit number. The most common of these errors, which is also very similar to the RRoD is the E74 Error. Unfortunatly, you are only covered for one year from date of purchase for these types of errors. If your not covered, or seek a different solution check the resource box.

E64, 65, 66 - Possible DVD drive error.

E67, 68, 69 - Hard Drive Error, try to remove the hard drive and see if the console works.

E73 - This is generic hardware failure problem.

E74 - This problem is often Streamyx Combo with an AV cable error. But generally this is a ANA/HANA scaler chip error or a GPU error (like the RRoD). Microsoft will fix these if your 1 year warranty kedai however you have to pay a fee of $140 + shipping. For another solution, see the resource box.

Well, that about covers the XBOX 360 flashing red lights problem!
